New Milton is situated between the New Forest and the seafront at Barton on Sea., where you can sit and look out to sea from the garden of the Beachcomber Café, and stroll along the cliff top, down to the beach, or make use of the golf course. There are lovely walks by the coast and in the New Forest, which also has designated cycle trails.
Places to visit include Lymington Town and Harbour; Beaulieu Motor Museum, Abbey and House; Hurst Castle; Christchurch Harbour and Priory; Mudeford; Hengistbury Head; Bournemouth; the attractive villages of Milford on Sea and Keyhaven on the coast and Brockenhurst and Burley in the Forest.
You may also take the ferry to the Isle of Wight, visit Sandbanks at Poole and take the ferry to Brownsea Island.
